Academic research papers are normally longer pieces of written work
than term papers and essays. Writing a research paper normally
involves all of the steps for writing a term paper plus some
additional ones.
To write an academic research paper you must first do some research,
that is, investigate your subject by reading about it in various
sources like books, magazines, journals, and the Internet. In some
cases you may also conduct surveys and interviews. The information
you collect from these sources is then used to support the arguments
you make in your research paper.
Writing an academic research paper also involves documenting your
sources of information in endnotes. This way the reader knows where
you got your data and can judge the authenticity of your research
paper.
